Getting the sound and picture quality you expect from your projection system in Indianapolis depends a lot on the skill of the installers. That’s why Midwest Audio Visual, one of Indy’s top AV companies, follows a strict process with every projection system install:
Planning
We need to know the why you have purchased your projector before we can begin installation. It is important for us to know your needs in terms of picture resolution, brightness and connectivity. We also will plan for a compatible screen, a mounting system and audio equipment (if you need it).
With all this information in hand, we can move on to measuring the room and deciding where the projector and screen should go.
Mounting
You have options here:
- Ceiling mount
- Tabletop
- Shelf
We collaborate with each Indianapolis-area client to choose the right mounting method, then install it.
A deciding factor is making sure the image projected will have the right size and aspect ratio where and how it is mounted.
Connecting
Next, we select the appropriate cables to connect your projector to your source devices and make the connection.
External speakers (if they are part of the system), get connected to your projector or audio receiver.
Powering Up and Testing
Then it’s go-time: time to plug in the projector and other devices, turn on the power and make sure the connections are working.
Part of this step is configuring the projector’s settings for ideal image quality.
Calibration and Fine-tuning
Using the projector’s settings, we align and resize the image, correcting any distortions or color problems.
Final Checks and Cleanup
Before we leave, we check cable organization and security, and make sure there are no obstructions to any components.
Training
After providing a 1-3 page Quick Reference Guide, we can set up a group training session for all your users and support personnel if needed.
Correct Sound System Installation
We install sound systems using a similar process to the MAV projection system process above:
We determine the purpose of the system, then choose appropriate speakers (wall, hung from ceiling, and/or in-ceiling), amplifiers, subwoofers and additional audio sources.
Then we determine the best placement for all components based on the room’s dimensions and acoustics, install the speakers, connect everything, plug in and configure the components.
Final Check, Clean Up and Training Finish the Process.
Your training can include a Quick Reference Guide and/or a group training session for all your users and support staff.
Midwest AV is a one-stop shop for the design, product selection and installation of any sound or projection system.
